Voters have the opportunity to hear from Montana Supreme Court candidates thanks to a forum sponsored this week by Montana Farmers Union that will air on television Oct. 6.
Supreme Court candidates Judge Jerry Lynch, Cory Swanson, Judge Dan Wilson, and Judge Katherine Bidegaray spoke to community members Sept. 25 at the Great Falls International Airport.
“This forum is part of Montana Farmers Union’s non-partisan efforts to educate voters about candidates,” MFU President Walter Schweitzer said. “Events like this are an opportunity to highlight ag-related issues so that the family farmers and ranchers and the rural residents MFU serves can make the best possible decision about who they want to represent them.”
Montanans can hear what candidates had to say when the forum airs on Non-stop Local channels:
The forum continued the tradition that MFU, a non-partisan grassroots organization, has in providing non-partisan educational opportunities for its membership and citizens to meet and learn about candidates for elected office in Montana. In addition to the Supreme Court forum, MFU sponsored Congressional primary debates and created Legislative Scorecards to help educate voters about candidates and Legislators’ records on ag-related issues.
