Montana producers can sharpen their leadership skills with other developing agricultural leaders from five states through the Farmers Union Enterprises Leadership Program.
The FUEL program empowers leaders from the Farmers Union Enterprises states of Minnesota, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wisconsin at a time when trade disruptions, rising input costs, depressed commodity markets, and corporate consolidation are squeezing family farmers from every direction. Every year, members from each state are selected to represent their state organization in the program – a series of three learning opportunities. The cohort receives hands-on training to enhance their knowledge of cooperatives and Farmers Union, with real-world experiences advocating for ag.
The one-year, free program includes three collaborative training sessions, beginning this summer and culminating during National Farmers Union’s annual convention in March 2027.
