Hailing from the windswept Great Plains of Dagmar, Montana, Megan Torgerson is a writer, entrepreneur and founder of the original podcast series, Reframing Rural. For her work on Reframing Rural, Megan was awarded the inaugural Public Humanities Fellowship from Humanities Washington in 2022. In 2023 her narrative podcast episode telling the succession story of her family’s farm and ranch in Northeast Montana was named a finalist in the impact category by the international audio festival, Third Coast. Megan frequently collaborates with the Red Ants Pants Foundation and is currently co-producing a short documentary film featuring two first-generation women ranchers.
