• When: August 5–7, 2025

  • Begins: Tuesday, Aug. 5 at 3:00 p.m.

  • Ends: Thursday, Aug. 7 at 12:00 p.m.

• Where: Arrowpeak Lodge

🎯 Camp Purpose & Benefits:

• Designed to help teachers incorporate agriculture into classroom lessons.

• Hands-on learning experiences: from crafts to extracting DNA from strawberries.

• Emphasis on real-world applications to engage students and enhance learning.

📚 Educational Value:

• Earn 18 OPI renewal credits.

• Participants receive:

  • Ready-to-teach curriculum with lesson plans, materials, handouts, and presentations.

  • Classroom equipment (e.g., test tubes, magnifying glasses) in a take-home kit.

  • Access to state and national curriculum resources.

🧪 Hands-On Curriculum:

• Explore agriculture-based labs and activities that connect with:

  • Science, Math, Engineering, Technology, Geography, Writing, and SEL (Social/Emotional Learning).

• Teachers will:

  • Experience each activity as students.

  • Discuss pedagogy and implementation strategies.

  • Practice peer teaching and receive feedback.
