Join Montana Farmers Union, Spirit Works Trilogy & Patti Armbrister to learn about regenerative soil building techniques.
Topics will include how “weeds” can be an important indicator for what is going on with your soil.
What to expect:
2-3 p.m. Farm Tour - Stroll the gardens as you take in an abundance of plant life with a diversity of colors, smells, and even gardening techniques. This is sure to delight your senses and inspire your landscaping!
3-5 p.m. Understanding “Weeds” for Soil Health - A fourth generation farmer, Patti Armbrister is also a leader in regenerative soil-building techniques. She’ll cover cover how “weeds” can be important indicators of what’s going on underground and help farmers navigate the specific weeds they face. You’ll be able to ask about your unique challenges with weeds, and also get to see a demonstration on transforming thistle into a powerful soil amendment.
5-6 p.m. Dinner & Farmers Union Flathead Local Membership Meeting - Enjoy dinner and networking with the Flathead Farmers Union Local. Make powerful connections over locally sourced, herb-infused food.
