Each Fall Montana Farmers Union holds its annual convention. Members from throughout the state attend the event to vote on bylaws, policy, enjoy educational workshops, see old friends and meet new ones. The annual convention always features a great lineup of speakers and family friendly entertainment. Bring the whole family and utilize the Youth Day Camp available at no extra cost throughout Convention.
Join us for the 2023 MFU State Convention October 27-28 in Great Falls at the Heritage Inn.
Enjoy breakout sessions on regenerative agriculture, farm bill and ag advocacy, registering your business with Made in MT, mental health, networking and a can’t miss show by local musicians, The Lucky Valentines.
Sarah Vogel, a North Dakota farm advocate, author, former politician, and lawyer will be the keynote speaker at the Friday luncheon. Register early! Early bird adult registration for MFU members before September 1st is $75. Early bird registration for non-members before September 1st is $85. This includes all convention meals and workshops. After the September 1st early bird registration deadline the fee is $85 for members and $95 for non-members. Youth (15 and under) is free! College/Community/Trade School student registration is $25.
College/Community/Trade School students: Please fill out the following application if you are interested in being considered for a scholarship to attend the MFU Annual Convention with expenses covered.
Daily registration is available, please contact Peyton at pcole@montanafarmersunion.com. We hope to see you there! The first 10 folks to register for the state convention will receive a free MFU sweatshirt!
Lodging: A special room rate is available for MFU Convention attendees at the Heritage Inn. Please contact the hotel directly to make reservations.
Vendors: MFU members receive a free vendor booth. If you are an MFU member, please contact Peyton at pcole@montanafarmersunion.com to receive a discount code.
Elections: People have to be current members or join 45 days in advance of convention in order to vote at convention. You must be at least 16 years old and a qualifying producer to vote.

2023 Elections: Join MFU leadership!

Election this year: President for a two-year term; District 4, District 5 and Districts 1 & 2 At Large for three-year terms. Conductor and Doorkeeper for one-year terms. NFU Convention delegates will be nominated at convention.

Members are eligible to request a mail-in ballot.

Members approved by the elections committee to vote by mail must return a postmarked ballot at least 7 days prior to Convention.
