Summer Leadership Training
The first collaborative training session is hosted by Minnesota Farmers Union and provides participants with an opportunity to learn, connect, and develop leadership skills alongside fellow cohort members.
Developing the next generation of Farmers Union leaders through hands-on training, advocacy, collaboration, and national engagement.
The Farmers Union Enterprises Leadership (FUEL) Program is sponsored by Farmers Union Enterprises (FUE) and Farmers Union Industries (FUI) to cultivate and develop Farmers Union leaders from Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wisconsin, and Minnesota. Each participating Farmers Union state may select up to two participants, creating a cohort of up to 10 members.
FUEL participants take part in three collaborative training experiences over the course of one year, building leadership skills and putting those skills into practice.

Participants put their leadership and advocacy skills into action during the National Farmers Union Legislative Fly-In, meeting with members of Congress and federal agencies to advocate for Farmers Union priorities.
The FUEL experience concludes at the National Farmers Union Convention, bringing participants together with Farmers Union members and leaders from across the country.
Montana Farmers Union may select up to two members to participate in each FUEL cohort, providing an opportunity to develop leadership skills, build relationships across Farmers Union states, and represent Montana on the national stage.
