Apply for a variety of different Scholarships through MFU

Bud Daniels Memorial Scholarship- $1,000

Bud Daniels was a former president of Montana Farmers Union. Bud also served as the National Farmers Union Vice President in 1992. He had a life-long devotion to improving the lives of rural Americans and keeping farmers on the land.

John Korsbeck Memorial Scholarship- $1,000

John Korsbeck was involved in farming and the “country way of life” throughout his lifetime. He was involved with 4-H and Farmers Union, becoming a Torchbearer, which is the highest award presented to Farmers Union youth. John was a Montana Farmers Union insurance agent from 1976-2005. John proudly served his country in Vietnam and was highly admired and respected.

MFU Scholarship and County Scholarships- $1,000- $500

Scholarships are awarded at the County level from the following counties:

– Chouteau – Cascade – Flathead Applications must reside in the county for which they apply.

Stanley Moore Scholarship- multiple $1,500

Stanley Moore was born into two prominent Farmers Union families, the Moores and the Talbotts. As a young boy, he traveled with his grandfather, C.C. Talbott, a principal organizer and the first president of the North Dakota Farmers Union.

4-H Sentence Grants

A new mini-grant program with a total of $10,000 available from Montana Farmers Union bolstered Montana 4-H club projects this past year, with applications opening soon for another $10,000 in funding in January 2024.

 

The process was simple to encourage clubs to apply by submitting a sentence about how they would use $100.
