Event Speakers:

Dean Folkvord/CEO of Wheat-Montana Farms and Bakery

A family operated wheat farming operation that has become vertically integrated.  Operations cover over 15,000 acres of tillable land in Broadwater County, near Three Forks.  500 acres are irrigated grain with the balance in no-till and conservation tillage, and organic grain production.  The farms marketing arm consists of the Wheat- Montana Wheat-Plex located just five miles from the farm.  The one-of-a-kind processing facility houses the cleaning plant, flour mill, and state of the art bread bakery.  Wheat produced on the farm and other contract farms is sold nationwide through a network of dealers, distributors and micro bakeries.  The Wheat Montana Bakery produces over 100 products and distributes in a twenty-seven state area.  Bakery production exceeds 35,000 loaves per day, using flour produced from wheat grown on the farm. Overall, Wheat-Montana provides employment for 165 full time persons. Wheat Montana Delis consists of 4 franchise quick serve deli’s located across Montana. Dean will be the Friday luncheon keynote speaker.

FAIR ISLE, SCOTLAND, UK — Jim Richardson on Fair Isle in the North Sea off the coast of Scotland.

Jim Richardson photographs aspects of the world that many of us take for granted — food production and agriculture, native grasslands, night skies, and life in remote places.  He has photographed more than 45 stories for National Geographic Magazine and its sister publication, TRAVELER.  Keynote lectures have taken him around the world, from London speaking to audiences for The Economist to the Chilean desert for the Noche Zero Dark Sky Forum.  He also is a cultural enrichment lecturer for National Geographic Expeditions at sea and around the world by air. Richardson’s work has been featured on programs from ABC “Nightline”  and “The Martha Stewart Show” to CBS News “Sunday Morning.”  More of his work can be seen at www.jimrichardsonphotography.com,

 Parker Sebens/North Dakota

Parker is born and raised in Milnor ND. He lost his arms in a farm accident at the young age of three. Parker attended school in Milnor prior to moving to Fargo where he proposed to fiance. He works at the West Fargo Animal Hospital and going to college for sales and marketing. A goal of Parker’s is to share his experiences as a full-time public speaker. Parker will be the keynote speaker for Saturday’s Youth Luncheon.
