Torchbearer Award
The torchbearer award is the highest award given by Farmers Union to senior youth. It is a great honor and achievement to be a “Torchbearer”.
Being a torchbearer is not an end to involvement in Montana Farmers Union, but rather a commencement of his/her participation in adult activities. We encourage each of you to continue your involvement in Montana Farmers Union as adult members of our organization.
Mildred Stoltz Awards
Mildred Stoltz was Montana Farmers Union’s Education Director for more than 18 years. During that time, she developed education curriculum that still guides us today. In her honor, Farmers Union Oil Company of Great Falls – now Mountain View Co-op – set up a fund to recognize youth for their leadership skills and cooperative spirit. The Award is presented to MFU campers who go above & beyond.

Both councils are honors programs designed to: – Enhance leadership skills. – Build professional credentials. – Gain insight into the organization’s mission and goals. – Coordinate ideas for creating a strong educational basis for Youth Programs. – Help identify workshop ideas to engage younger youth during our summer camp program.
