All Montana Farmers Union scholarships will be awarded in the amount of $500 and are made available through special efforts of the Education Committee, Montana Farmers Union and Local County Farmers Unions.The winner will be selected using the following criteria in order of importance:

      1. All scholarship applications must be sent to and approved by the MFU Education Committee and must be postmarked by March 1 to be considered.
      2. Montana Farmers Union family membership dues must be current. ($50/per family, per year)
      3. Education Criteria:
        1. MFU and Local County Scholarships:
          • Must be a high school senior planning to attend an University, College, Community College or College of Technology in or out of state.
        2. Bud Daniels Scholarship:
          • Must be a sophomore or above attending a Montana University, College or Vocational Technical College.
          • Applicant must carry at least 12 semester hours or 18 quarter hours.
          • Applicant must have GPA of 2.8 or better and maintain that GPA during the scholarship year.
        3. John Korsbeck Memorial Scholarship:
          • Must be a high school senior, college or non-traditional student attending a Montana two or four College, University or Technical School for any area of study.
      1. Scholarship must be used the year it is awarded.
      2. Applications will be judged on the following areas listed in order of importance.
        1. Farmers Uni tyon involvement
        2. Scholastic achievement
        3. School involvement
        4. Community involvement
        5. Essay
