Unpredictable weather, crop disease, volatile markets, heavy workloads, and social isolation are just a handful of the challenges that farmers may face. These conditions force many family farmers and ranchers to make tough financial decisions that will impact their families, communities, and the entire country.

New Program Supports Farmers
The Montana Department of Agriculture (MDA) said in a release they received a $500,000 federal grant from the United States Department of Agriculture’s Farm and Ranch Stress Assistance Network. The program will link farmers, ranchers and others involved in agriculture through the Farm Bill.
