Montana Farmers Union to Participate in Farm Bill Listening Sessions

Great Falls- Education and advocacy for the 2018 Farm Bill is a top priority of Montana Farmers Union. Friday, May 26 President Alan Merrill and Membership Director Justin Loch will each serve on different Farm Bill panel listening sessions hosted by Senator Jon Tester. Justin Loch will represent Montana Farmers Union serving on a panel in Glendive and President Merrill at a session in Lewistown.

“We realize the urgency to begin the process of fighting for Montana’s farmers and ranchers on the Farm Bill,” said Merrill. “Provisions including crop insurance, the nutrition title, support of rural development and access to credit are forefront in the debate. We appreciate the senator’s invitation to be part of the process and look forward to hearing from producers as to their priorities in regards to the Farm Bill. ”
